A.E.I. Schuuring MA

Ilse Schuuring studied archaeology at Leiden University and has worked in the archaeological and heritage sector since 2002. She is currently a heritage advisor and archaeologist at the Province of Gelderland. Previously, she worked as municipal archaeologist and heritage advisor for the Municipality of Tiel. Earlier in her career, she held various positions at VU-HBS Archaeology, the archaeological research unit of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her professional interests include heritage management, archaeological policy, public engagement, and the communication of archaeological knowledge to broader audiences. For this volume, she contributed to the editorial process, with a particular focus on clarity, readability, and the translation of specialist knowledge into accessible language.
